MATTIE GOES

My name is Mattie and I'm the mind behind Mattie Goes. I began this journey about a year after graduating from college. A young adult attempting to navigate the complexities of life in Baton Rouge - a college town that can be tricky to acclimate to without established roots. It was during this time of discovery and self-exploration that the idea for Mattie Goes was born.

Started in February 2022 as an Instagram account, this blog serves as my personal space where I merge my many interests into one. I wanted to create a digital platform where I could chronicle my life and share my views on various topics, including fashion, travel, local hangouts, lifestyle, and food spots.

 

Over the years, I've taken short breaks, but my passion for sharing the hidden gems of my city has remained steadfast. Baton Rouge is a community that has offered me innumerable life lessons, joy, and a sense of belonging. With Mattie Goes, my aim is to extend this feeling to others and showcase the best of what this city has to offer. Whether you're a long-term resident or a new visitor, this blog is dedicated to providing you with an authentic experience of my beloved city.
